Wills and Inheritance Quality Scheme accreditation
Posted: Aug 20, 2019
We are delighted to announce that our experienced Wills and Probate department has been successful in renewing its Wills and Inheritance Quality Scheme accreditation (‘WIQS’) with the Law Society.
WIQS provides a best practice quality mark for wills and deceased estate administration advice that consumers can trust. The scheme sets client service standards to ensure transparency in process, costs and communications. It outlines required practices for will drafting, probate and estate administration to help address common risks, errors and inconsistencies that arise in delivering advice.
Head of Painters’ Wills & Probate department, Lee Baron, said: “I’m delighted that our expanding team has for the fifth year running been awarded this prestigious mark. We are very happy to be able to offer our clients a high standard of advice and service in an area of law that is increasingly challenging. Constant changes to taxation, the area of mental capacity law and the ongoing delays taking place at the Probate Registries in obtaining Grants of Probate, require that our experienced legal advisors keep up to date with best practice.”
